1939 – Sabaté founded by Augustin Sabaté
1999 – Merger of Seguin Moreau and Radoux forms Diosos group
2000 – Merger of Sabaté and Diosos to form Sabaté Diosos
2003
- Jan - Sabaté Diosos becomes Oeneo, with new dominant shareholder Orpar
- June – Decision made to invest €1.5m Euro in a Super Critical CO2 facility in Spain to treat cork with the Diamant technology
2004
- Jan – Construction of the Diamant treatment plant commences in Spain
- July – DIAM launched in Australia
- Sept – DIAM launched in New Zealand
- Dec – DIAM launched worldwide at Vinitech in Bordeaux and is awarded the trophy for innovation in packaging, the only trophy awarded in this category
2005
- Jan - Sabaté closure division becomes Oeneo Closures to reflect the new ownership and introduces DIAM and S-Cap to the market, reinforcing their position as a supplier of safe and secure closures.
- Feb – Decision made to cease production and sales of technical corks (agglomerated and 1+1) and the low quality cork closures.
- March – The launch of S–Cap, the Oeneo Screwcap.
- May - All sites become ISO 9001 and commence the process to achieve BRC certification
- June - HACCP certification achieved at all production sites
- August – Launch of Mytik DIAM for Champagne and Sparkling wines
- Sept - New General Manager joins Oeneo.
- Nov - Diamant production facility commissioned.
- Dec – DIAM sales reach 60 million corks in the first year with a customer list of over 1300, including Louis Jadot, Bodegas Lan, Tempus Two, Mission Estate.
2006
- DIAM sales expectations with over 1800 customers worldwide.
- May - French site expects to achieve BRC certification
